PALACE ON WHEELS – A Week in Wonderland
Delhi – Jaipur – Sawai Madhopur – Chittaurgarh – Udaipur – Jaisalmer – Jodhpur – Bharatpur – Agra – Delhi

01 DAY/WED DELHI –JAIPUR
Depart Delhi for Jaipur. Dinner & overnight on Board.

02 DAY/THU JAIPUR – SAWAI MADHOPUR
Breakfast on board. Morning excursion to Amber Fort. Make your ascent to the palace fortress on the gaily caparisoned elephant back. Tour the chambers and hallways of the palace which are famous for the excellence of their design and decoration. Afternoon tour of Jaipur known as "The Pink City of Rajasthan" Visit the unique Jantar Mantar Observatory, which was built in the 1700's, yet even today still looks futuristic or almost surrealistic; the City Palace and its Museum, the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds. Return to train for tea and freshening up. Enjoy a drive of Jaipur by night followed by dinner at a Palace Hotel. Return to Palace on Wheels. Train departs for Sawai Madhopur. Overnight on board.

03 DAY/FRI SAWAI MADHOPUR – CHITTAURGARH
Arrive Sawai Madhopur. Game viewing in the sanctuary by canter. Ranthambore Wildlife Sanctuary extends over an area of 392 sq kms of thick forests. The place abounds in scenic beauty, requisite refuge for both the carnivora and herbivora. The numerous valleys and flat hill tops form picturesque surroundings of the 13th century historical Ranthambore Fort. The Tiger and Leopard are the main predators found in this reserve. Breakfast at a hotel. Palace on Wheels departs for Chittaurgarh. Lunch on board. Later visit Chittaurgarh. There is no place in Rajasthan with a history more romantic than that of Chittaurgarh. The centre of Rajput resistance against Mughal rule. Evening Tea with Sound and Light show at the Fort. Dinner at a hotel. Overnight on board.

04 DAY/SAT CHITTAURGARH – UDAIPUR – JAISALMER
Arrive Udaipur. Breakfast at a hotel. Morning, sightseeing tour of Udaipur, stopping first at City Palace. Here you will marvel at rooms with mirrored walls and ivory doors, colored glass windows and inlaid marble balconies; and the Peacock Courtyard. Also visit the lovely Sahelion-ki-Bari Gardens; the Jagdish Temple; and the local folk museum. Lunch at a hotel. Enjoy boat ride on Lake Pichola before returning on Palace on Wheels. Evening tea on board. Palace on Wheels departs for Jaisalmer. Dinner & overnight on board.

05 DAY/SUN JAISALMER – JODHPUR
Arrive Jaisalmer. Breakfast on board Morning sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer. It is in the heart of the Great Indian Desert. Its temple, fort and palaces are all built of yellow stone. The city is a mass of intricately carved buildings, facades and elaborate balconies. See the Patwon-Ki-Havelies, Salim-Singh-Ki-Haveli and Gadhi Sagar Tank. Afternoon visit the Sand Dunes and a camel ride to view the sunset, as the sky is set on fire and Rajasthani folk musicians play haunting tunes. Enjoy Dinner with Cultural programme. Palace on Wheels departs for Jodhpur. Overnight on board.

06 DAY/MON JODHPUR – BHARATPUR<
Breakfast on board. Arrive Jodhpur. Morning sightseeing tour of Jodhpur – gateway to the desert beyond, home of the Rathores of Marwa. Visit the Fort, rising up a hilly scrap, built on the advice of a hermit, which overlooks the city in the image of a long sentinel. Inside the Fort are a number of palaces added by successive rulers. The cenotaphs of the former rulers are imposing and architecturally remarkable. Lunch at a hotel. Palace on Wheels departs for Bharatpur. Dinner & Overnight on board.

07 DAY/TUE BHARATPUR – AGRA – DELHI
Arrive Bharatpur. Visit to National Bird Sanctuary. Bharatpur (Ghana) once the former hunting preserve of the royal family of Bharatpur, the sanctuary is home to storks and nearly every other kind of bird imaginable. You'll see more than 250 different species nesting on the tops of trees and along the roadside, as well as snakes, lizards, exotic fish and monkeys. Breakfast at a hotel. Palace on Wheels departs for Agra. Enjoy your lunch at a hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Agra city visiting, the most perfect architectural monument in the world -The Taj Mahal. Taj Mahal is the mausoleum of Empress Mumtaz Mahal, the beloved spouse of Shah Jahan, who died in 1630. The Taj is remarkable for its perfect proportion and rich pietra dura, with minute details executed with great skill. The building, often styled "a dream in marble" is said to have taken at least 22 years (1631-1653) to build. Enjoy sound & light show. Dinner at a hotel. Palace on Wheels departs for Delhi.
Overnight on board.

08 DAY/WED ARRIVE – DELHI
Arrive Delhi. Dis-embark after breakfast on board.

BOOKING

• 25% of the fare plus applicable taxes at the time of confirming the booking along with the names of passenger, nationality, passport details.
• Balance payment 60 days prior to the departure.

CANCELLATION

For any cancellation days are counted excluding the dates of departure.

• 25% more than 60 days prior to departure.
• 50% between 45-59 days before departure.
• 100% within 0-44 days before departure.

Incase of GIT’s
• 25% more than 90 days prior to departure.
• 50% between 60-89 days before departure.
• 100% within 0-59 days before departure.
